Basic Knowledge of LED Street Lamp
LED street lamp (Light Emitting Diode) is a semiconductor lamp. It is an efficient solid-state light source based on semiconductor PN junction, which can emit light with weak energy. Under a certain positive bias voltage and injection current, the holes injected into the P region and the electrons injected into the N region radiate and recombine to emit photons after diffusing into the active region, which directly converts the electric energy into light energy. It is a kind of solid-state cold light source with the characteristics of environmental protection, pollution-free, low power consumption, high light efficiency and long life. Therefore, LED street lamp will be the best choice for road lighting energy-saving transformation.

Light decay is small, less than 3% in one year, and it still meets the road illumination requirement after 10 years of use, while the high-pressure sodium lamp has declined by more than 30% in one year or so.
